Highlight options In this section you can customise highlight feature.

Highlight options for existing spaces are not updated. New space created uses the following values and space administrator can change theme.

To add, update or remove language:

Choose Glossary management at top right of the screen then languages.

To add, update or remove domain:

Choose Glossary management at top right of the screen then domains.

Add, update and remove status.

8. Export and import terms

8.1. Export terms

To export terms two features are presented:

  • Export terms with metadata and definition: (not recommended when term definition contains images.)
  • Export terms metadata

8.2. Import new terms

To import new terms, please make sure that all fields are separated by commas and field definition’s is enclosed in quotes.

The heading row is not mandatory for that reason please make sure that all lines respect the order below:

Term name, Page id, Space key, “Definition”, Language, Domain name, status, creator, synonyms, abbreviations, forms

For example, this is a valid content:

Capacity report, ,GLOS,””,English,Common,false,admin,,,

Board, ,TERMS,””,English,Common,true,admin,panel,,”boarding, boards”

8.3. Migrate content to another instance

We recommend to use this scenario to export then import content in another instance.

1- Export Confluence pages (terms) to XML using Confluence native export feature.

2- Export terms metadata using glossary feature.

3- Import Confluence space from an XML backup.

4- Import terms using glossary feature.

8.4. Note

Occasionally when a lot of terms is imported the records in the ancestor table can become corrupted. When this happens you will need to rebuild the ancestor table.

9. Advanced configuration

9.1. Restore default Glossary configuration

Restore general metadata and reviewers to default.

Languages, Domains and Term fields are not restored.

9.2. Permissions

Override term creation permission

By default, creating terms depends on native Confluence permissions. To override and restrict term creation, please add one or more groups.

Grant glossary manager permission

By default, only confluence-administrators group has the permission to manage Glossary. You can grant access to other group.

9.3. Term indexing
